The G365 Big Showdown featured top player talent this past weekend that brought in over 130 teams down to San Diego as part of Southern California’s basketball tournaments. There was plenty of star studded talent in both the boy’s divisions and the girl’s divisions. All weekend long players and teams were battling to earn themselves a trophy and a chance to be in the G365 rankings.   

Some Highlights included:

Seattle Rotary 11U vs Vegas Showtime

Two out of town teams battled it out at the G365 Big Showdown in San Diego as Jaiden Thomas and Dante Aikins led the way in this one. Seattle Rotary 11U takes down Vegas Showtime with a final score of 56-47. MVP Dante Aikins had 22 points with 3 of those being threes and All-Tournament’s  Jaiden Thomas finished with 14 points and 5 steals. All-Tournament’s McCoy Robinson and Cash Barrett from Vegas Showdown had a great game finishing with 30 points combined. 

DNA 14U & MVP Adrian Galloway

Adrian Galloway led DNA Basketball Family to an undefeated weekend and a championship as he earned MVP honors at the G365 Big Showdown. His final statline consisted of 16.25 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game. Adrian proved his skills and dedication in this exciting Orange County basketball tournament.

SDA Elite 15U / Francisco Ortiz Dominance

Francisco Ortiz had a stellar weekend as he dominated the competition and it showed through his stats and being able to obtain the championship trophy at the G365 Big Showdown. He averaged 24.2 points per game and 4 steals per game. He made the game look easy out there and that is why his team earned the trophy and why he earned MVP honors. 

She’s Empowered Sports

She’s Empowered Sports went 4-0 on the weekend and walked out with the championship trophy. Jordan Janae Brown earned MVP honors for her team and finished with a final statline of 10 points per game and 1.5 rebounds per game. 

Coastal Elite Grizzlies 17U dominance

The 17U Coastal Elite Grizzlies girls team had a dominating weekend as they went undefeated at the G365 Show and three of their players earned All-Tournament honors including an MVP. MVP Mariah Brown led the way as All-Tournaments Maria Gorbushin and Kyara Walter followed in her dominating footsteps. Brown finished the tournament with 15.25 points per game and 2 steals per game. Walter had a final statline of 8.75 points per game and 3.75 rebounds per game. Lastly, Maiah Gorbushin was a force all over the court as she finished with 13 points per game and 4.25 rebounds per game.
