Walnut Creek, CA – Grassroots 365 made its Memorial Day Weekend debut at the recent G365 West event in Norcal giving teams the opportunity to raise their ranking stock right before the start of the summer season.
The team that raised its stock the most over the weekend was the Fresno Swoosh Elite 13U team. They navigated their championship run through nine team bracket that included two other ranked teams with a 5-0 record and a 13.6 average margin victory. By winning the championship, the Fresno based team will move up into the G365 Top 6. Their championship roster includes, Brayden Bitter , Cameron Ardissono, Devon Riggins, Dre Davis, Jackson Young, Jordan Espinoza, Logan Kilbert, Marshel Sanders, Tytus Khajavi, and Zachary Chauhan.
13U Gold Runner-up, Team Superstar, as well Nation Prep will both crack the G365 Norcal Top 10 after terrific weekend performances.
In other divisions:
- G365’s #1 Top Ranked 11U Team, SF Soldiers 11U, defeated a tough EBO team 44-28 to take home the 5th grade championship title. Runner-Up EBO will crack the G365 Norcal Top 10 after their solid performance.
- G365 Norcal #7, Team Legit 14U, defeated, Lakers legend, Michael Cooper’s Socal based Two One Elite by a slight two-point margin in the 14U championship game.
- G365 Norcal #7, Port City 12U team defeated Bay Area Power 51-25 for the 6th grade championship title.
- G365 #6, SF Soldiers 12U team continued to roll as they defeated Sac Titans White to take home the 13U Silver division championship.
- G365 #5, SF Rebels 9U, defeated Bay Area Blitz 38-23 for the 3rd grade championship title as Runner-Up Bay Area Blitz will make its G365 Norcal Top 10 debut in our next rankings release.
- A-Train Oregon Magic put on a show and took home the Frosh/Soph division championship.
