The G365 Summer Hustle was a fantastic Orange County youth basketball event and was filled with high-intensity games and a vibrant atmosphere. From the first tip-off to the final buzzer, the talent on display was nothing short of extravagant, with teams showing solid skills across the board. There were over 100 teams that came to OGP Anaheim to compete all the way from Washington, Arizona, Canada, Northern California, and different parts of Southern California, from the 8U teams to the high school division the talent was there.
- The High School divisions had a ton of talent all around from SoCal, NorCal, and Canada. Jermaine Bullard from Damand basketball earned MVP honors for the Frosh/Soph division. Next is Cale Hanaghan from Northern Bounce (Canada) who averaged 17 points and 2 steals per game which helped earn MVP Honors. Last, in the Varsity division Justin Brayard earned MVP for CBA Ballers as he helped his team go undefeated on the weekend.
- The Middle School division had teams from Arizona, Washington, NorCal, and SoCal which all displayed great talent all weekend. One name that stood out was Aiden Sanchez from Northwest Cougars (WA) who averaged 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists per game on the weekend. Sanchez just couldn’t be stopped because of his ability to do it all, and his performance showed how the event gathers the best to showcase in the Orange County youth basketball leagues.
- The Girls divisions were competitive this weekend at the Summer Hustle Tournament. First in the 6/7th grade division Jayden Jermyn helped her OGP Ladera 13U Girls team to a championship by averaging a solid 10 points and 5 rebounds. Next is the 8th grade division, Nakia Perkins led her Stay Fresh squad to a championship. She was a monster on the boards and on the defensive end as she averaged 8 rebounds and 4 steals per game. Lastly, the HS girls division was won by Lynwood and Syri Prevo led the way as she averaged 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals per game.
