San Diego, CA – OGP’s final San Diego event of 2018 capped off a successful year of adding high level and well run events that promote San Diego’s ever growing pool of talent. In the past, we would typically see players such as 2019 Boogie Ellis (soon to be Duke) and 2019 Ryan Langborg (soon to be Princeton) at our Anaheim events, now, we get to see up and coming players such as this past year’s EBCJAAC 2022 MVP, Devon Arlington, EBC West 2023 MVP, Jurian Dixon and Nationally Ranked, 2023 Mikey Williams compete in their hometowns.
Here are the teams and players that stood out:
- The Seals 2023 Black team can claim their spot as San Diego’s Top Ranked team after defeating G365 #10 SD Republic in the Championship game in an event featured a total of 13 San Diego based 14U teams. Jurian Dixon and Colton Dukes earned co-MVP honors.
- The SD Southbay Show 13U team made its 2018 G365 season debut at this event by holding the fort down in their hometown. The road to victory was not easy as the team as the team had to avenge an early pool play loss to Young Bulls. JJ “Diesel” Sanchez earned MVP honors.
- San Diego Sol 11U had an impressive Championship Sunday run that included a victory over the tourney’s top ranked HBA Sports Academy team. Tristan Anderson earned MVP honors.
- The Silver and Bronze Divisions:
SD Dynasty took home the 13U Silver Division. Erias Bandoy earned MVP honors.
OGP Select Black took home the 13U Bronze Division. Jackson Enriquez and TJ Navarro earned co-MVP Honors.
Gamepoint of SD took home the 12U Silver Division. Atreju De La Cruz earned MVP honors.
SD Republic took home the 12U Bronze Division. Isaiah Jackson earned MVP honors.
