Phoenix, AZ – Open Gym Premier’s Valley of the Sun Session III saw Inland Empire’s Team Eleate (CA) win three of the five divisions. The three teams were inspired to win in memory of club program founder, Marvin Lea Sr. who passed away over the weekend.
In the 8th grade division, the Scottsdale based Arizona Wolves avenged their first game loss to UH Elite Black by beating in the championship game 48-42. Vincent Parise, Carson Weurding and Colin Gale were named Co-MVPs.
Team Eleate swept the 7th, 6th and 5th grade divisions going an impressive 11-0 across all divisions. Team Eleate 6th Grade is currently ranked #10 in the SoCal Region. Mark Jones (Team Eleate) earned 6th Grade MVP honors.
In the 4th grade division, the Phoenix based Suns defeated UH Elite 39-20 to win the division. Jakyi Miles (Suns) earned MVP honors.
